The Royal Commission has now completed its report. Print copies will be available from Bennetts bookstore or Legislation Direct from Tuesday March 31st.

Outline of Issues contains the main text of the 'Call for Submissions' document (above) that outlines the issues and scope of the Commission’s work.
Details on how to make a submission are in Making a Submission. Submissions closed on April 22nd.
Since May, all submissions have been posted on the website under Submissions Received. If you cannot find your submission, please call (09) 365 2748.
The Summary of Submissions is a compilation of submission themes, with 29 chapters of summaries and quotes from submissions focusing on a wide range of subjects. This document will be one of the volumes of the Commission's report.
The Commission heard over 550 oral presentations during 27 days of hearings throughout the Auckland region in May, June and July. Details of speakers, dates and locations are posted under Hearings.
The Terms of Reference, and relevant excerpts from the Local Government Act 2002, both provide a useful legal context for understanding the work of the Commission.
